HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ?

To make an appointment with a doctor you should telephone the surgery on the day you need to be seen. Appointments can be made by calling 020 30492580 from 8am to 12.00pm only or by visitng the surgery between these hours on weekdays. If you need an afternoon appointment you must call in the morning between 8am & 12pm.

There will not be any afternoon/evening appointments available to book from 2.00pm onwards.

You are also able to book a limited number of appointments either 48hrs in advance or pre-book up to two weeks in advance. A Saturday morning surgery is held once a month and are pre-bookable appointments only.  The surgery will not be open for any other services on a Saturday.

On-Line Appointment Booking

You can use EMIS Access to book a doctors appointmnet on-line.  There will be limited number of appointments available which can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance.  You can also view/cancel any appointments you have booked.  To use this service you will need to come into the surgery to sign a consent form bringing photo ID proof with you, then you will be given pin information which you are to keep and use to register with EMIS ACCESS.  If you are already signed up for On-Line prescriptions you will automatically have access to this service.  Please ask a Receptionist for further information.  Once you have signed a consent form please CLICK HERE 

Triage Telephone Clinic

We also offer a telephone triage service where the doctor will call you to discuss your problem.  The doctor will ask you to come to the surgery if they need to see.

Nurses Apppointments

Nurses can be seen by appointment only & can be booked in advance. Nurse appointments are for Blood Pressure checks, Smears, Travel Advice, Diabetes/Asthma/Diet reviews, Well woman/man checks, CVD Health checks, Immunisations, Smoking cessation, Dressings, Ear Syringe, Removal of Stitches.  We also have a Nurse Practitioner (Dawn Heppell) who is paediatric trained and can deal with minor ailments/injuries and can prescribe if neccessary.  You can also book an appointment with Dawn in advance.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

ADVICE AND INFORMATION BY TELEPHONE

If you wish to speak to your doctor or a nurse, you can leave a message with the reception staff, who will log your message on to our computerised message system. Unless it is an emergency, calls are only taken before 11.30am. The doctor or nurse will call you back before the end of the day.
